Gerard Reiter畢業於南昆士蘭大學工程與測量學院，他曾獲得南昆士蘭大學工程與測量學院授予的年度優秀校友殊榮，他的成功很大程度上取決於他對機會的把握。
Gerard於1992年獲得南昆士蘭大學電子電氣工程學士學位(榮譽學位)，先後在澳大利亞昆士蘭、德國和瑞士等地從事工程工作。目前他是越網公司(TransGrid)基礎設施項目運輸的執行總經理。他曾屢獲Powerlink卓越經營成就獎。
